Rape-accused cab driver sent to judicial custody


New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS): A court here Thursday sent cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav accused of raping a 25-year-old woman Dec 5 night to 14 days judicial custody.

Metropolitan Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Pandey sent Yadav, produced in court on expiry of his three-day police custody, to judicial custody till Dec 24 after police told court that he is not required for further custodial interrogration.

Yadav, 32, was arrested Sunday evening from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and was sent by a court to three days' police custody on Monday.
