Indian wounded in Bahrain blast

Manama, Dec 11 (IANS): An Indian worker was wounded in an explosion at a cold store in Bahrain's west coast village of Karzakan that claimed the life of a Bahraini, a media report said Thursday.

Nowfal Nadukkanny, 36, who hails from Kozhikode in Kerala, was on his way to work Tuesday when the powerful blast knocked him down, according to the Gulf Daily News.

"I cannot remember much as I fell down because of the impact. It was a little far from the place, otherwise I would have died," he was quoted as saying by the daily.

"I only remember that policemen came and took me to the BDF Hospital where they asked me several questions, but I didn't know anything."

Nadukkanny suffered some bruises and injuries on his back.

He has now been discharged from the hospital.
