Hindustan Zinc gets CII sward for human resource excellence


New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Hindustan Zinc has been awarded for its significant achievement in human resource development by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the company said in a statement Friday.

Last year, the company was honoured for its strong commitment to human resource development and this year, it has moved a step ahead with an award for excellence.

The recognition has come for the company's commitment to and showcasing of higher maturity level in following the human resource processes and systems in the areas of leadership, strategy, well being of people, knowledge and competencies.

"This is the most difficult and prestigious award assessment in the field of human resource. This award stands testament to Hindustan Zinc's focus towards empowering its employees and constant endeavour to create a healthy work environment," the statement said.

The apex industry body had assessed companies on a score of 1,000 on stringent standards. Those that crossed the 500-mark were recognized as significant achievers while those that crossed the 600-mark were conferred with leadership in excellence award.
