Car kills two Delhi policemen during checking


New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS): A Delhi Police officer and a constable were killed when a car asked to halt for routine checking rammed into them, police said Sunday.

The car only stopped after dragging assistant sub-inspector Nagendra and constable Prahlad for a few meters at Kalindi Kunj in south Delhi.

A head constable, identified as Kaptan, was recuperating in a hospital.

Police arrested the car driver, Hemant, and impounded the vehicle.
