Australian teen killed in shark attack


Canberra, Dec 15 (IANS): A 17-year-old boy has been killed by a shark off the coast of Port Douglas in Australia, media reported Monday.

The teen was attacked at Rudder Reef off the coast of Port Douglas in Quennsland, Brisbane Times reported the Queensland ambulance service official as saying.

His injuries included serious wounds to his leg and thigh.

Rudder Reef is a popular hotspot for Great Barrier Reef tourist operators and is popular with anglers searching for large reef fish.
