Mangalore, Nov 30: Having failed for the second time in succession to hold the MCC meet owing to chaos and ruckus, mayor Vijaya Arun took BJP corporators to task for showing indiscipline.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday November 30 morning Vijaya Arun lashed at BJP corporators for disrupting two MCC meets eversince she took over as the new mayor. "We have not had meeting regarding developmental programmes for the last 4 months. Several works are still pending and there are more serious things to do than just engage in politics and stage melodrama during the MCC meet," she thundered.
She blamed BJP members of trying to hijack the proceedings of MCC by their behaviour. "They are supporting the two suspended members of Congress. Both were suspended on disciplinary grounds for a period of 6 years. But these members with the help of BJP corporators are hampering MCC meets which is perfectly illegal. That is why both of them were put out from meeting with the help of marshals," she said.
