Man arrested in Sydney for threatening calls to mosque


Sydney, Dec 17 (IANS): Australian police arrested a man for allegedly making threatening phone calls to a mosque in Sydney, media reported.

The 30-year-old man allegedly made several threat calls to a mosque in Auburn in Sydney, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Wednesday.

He was arrested at a Dural home in Sydney's north-west and later charged with threatening to destroy property, using a carriage service to threaten serious harm and offend.

He is likely to appear before Parramatta Local Court Jan 21, next year.
