Kolkata mourns Pakistan school massacre victims

Kolkata, Dec 17 (IANS): A day after a Taliban attack on a Pakistan school left nearly 150 people dead, most of them children, students from across West Bengal Wednesday mourned the deaths and condemned the dastardly attack that has shocked the world.

Special prayers were organised in schools across Kolkata, Howrah and other districts.

While most of the schools observed a two-minute silence for the dead, children joined by their teachers also took out silent marches in the city condemning the attack.

Teachers and students at Calcutta University too paid homage to the victims and condemned the attack.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and the Left Front also organised silent marches denouncing the attack.
