India welcomes resumption of US-Cuba ties

New Delhi, Dec 18 (IANS): India Thursday welcomed the resumption of diplomatic ties between the US and Cuba after more than 50 years.

In response to a media query, external affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said: "India, which enjoys excellent relations with the United States of America and the Republic of Cuba, welcomes the decision by both the countries to re-establish diplomatic relations."
