Normal operations resumed, says Spice Jet

Chennai, Dec 18 (IANS): A day after its flights were grounded, budget airline SpiceJet Thursday announced resumption of normal operations on all its 230 flights scheduled to operate for the day.

The airline also apologised for the disruptions in its flights that occurred Wednesday and Tuesday.

"SpiceJet is also pleased to announce that it is now able to take bookings through the end of the current schedule, which is March 28, 2015," said a statement issue here.

The airline's flights were grounded Wednesday morning after oil marketing companies refused to provide SpiceJet with credit to buy jet fuel over the issue of non-payment of dues.

The airline also said that the temporary restriction of 30 days imposed on Dec 5 has been relaxed by the airline regulator.
