New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): It was a cold, foggy Friday morning here, delaying over 40 trains coming to the city. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day.
The day's minimum temperature settled a level below the season's average at 7.4 degrees Celsius.
"There was fog in the morning and the day will be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
"The visibility in Delhi at 8.30 a.m. was 200 meters due to the fog," the official added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 89 percent.
Thursday was similar with the maximum temperature settling five notches below the season's average at 17.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 7.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.
