US drone kills four militants in Pakistan

Islamabad, Dec 20 (IANS): At least four militants were killed Saturday in a US drone strike in Pakistan's North Waziristan region.

Intelligence sources said the drone fired a missile on a compound in Datta Khel area which killed the militants, Dawn online reported.

The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained. Drones were said to be hovering in the area.

The Pakistani military in mid-June had launched an all-out 'Zarb-i-Azb' operation against Taliban militants in North Waziristan that is still under way.
