Udupi, Dec 5: The police acting on a tip off seized 14,000 litres of spirit stored in 420 plastic cans illegally at the godown here on Monday.

The district Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) raided a godown at Sasthana under Kota police station limits and seized spirit worth Rs 5 lac.

The godown belonged to Shahajan of Kerala who is said to be absconding. The team was led by inspector C I Timmappaiah.
