Five killed in Afghan clash


Kabul, Dec 20 (IANS): At least five people were killed Saturday during a clash in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, a police official said.

"A group of militants raided security checkpoints in Arghanchwa district," the official told Xinhua.

"In retaliation, the security forces killed three militants," the official added.

Two police personnel were also killed in the clash.
