Lucknow, Dec 20 (IANS): Six people were killed Saturday in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh when a bus overturned at a steep turn due to dense fog and poor visibility, police said.
The accident took place at the Hamirpur-Jolhupur road near Bahi village. The victims were Muslim pilgrims who were returning from Hamirpur, police said.
Over a dozen people were injured in the accident.
District officials said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and five of the six deceased have been identified as Sakina, Shakila, Batulan, Aneesa and Mazhar.
