Gurgaon poultry farm owner looted


Gurgaon, Dec 22 (IANS): Four unidentified people Monday attacked a poultry farm owner near here and looted Rs.27.5 lakh from him, police said.

Four men, riding a car, forced Sumer Singh, 53, to stop his car on a road at Kankrola village near Manesar in Gurgaon district.

"Sumer Singh was going to Gurgaon city to make payments regarding his business. He was forced to stop on a road near his village (Kankrola) by four men in another car," a police officer told IANS.

"The criminals attacked Sumer Singh, broke the windscreen of the car and fled with the bag containing the cash," the officer said. He said the bag contained Rs.27.5 lakh.

Police have registered a case and an investigation is on, the officer said.

Sumer Singh has been admitted to hospital.
