Police station chief shot dead in Bihar


Patna, Dec 22 (IANS): A police officer was shot dead in broad daylight Monday by unidentified attackers in Bihar's Saran district, officials said.

Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, officer in-charge of Ishuapur police station, was killed by three motorcycle-borne unidentified attackers near Kadia railway crossing, a district official said.

"Tiwari was on the round duty at the time of incident," official said.

His killing has sent shock waves in the locality. Police have sealed the district borders to nab the culprits.
