Mangalore, Dec 6: The valedictory ceremony of diamond jubilee of Cascia high school was held here on Tuesday December 5 evening.

On the occasion Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza  of Mangalore inaugurated the newly-constructed school stage at the school premises.

Fr Wilson D’Souza, secretary of catholic Education Board released the diamond jubilee year souvenir.

Bishop in his presidential address said “students should fulfill their goal in life and make optimum use of the opportunities available to them”.

He called upon the students to become responsible citizens of tomorrow and act as a peace maker of the society.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions held in the school.

Shalini who scored the highest marks in the recently conducted SSLC examination in Dakshina Kannada District was felicitated.

Deputy Director, Department of Public Instruction Shankarappa, Block Education Officer Walter D’ Mello, President of Ramakrishna Mutt swami Poornakamandaji , Shanty Publications Manager Mohammad Kunhi, President of Old Student Association Sitaram and school headmistress Rita Rodrigues were present.
