Islamabad, Dec 23 (IANS): Pakistan is expected to finalise the anti-terror national action plan during a meeting summoned by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of parliamentary leaders scheduled for Wednesday.
Sharif had formed a committee tasked with formulating a plan to counter terrorism following the Dec 16 attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which left more than 140 students and teachers dead, The News International reported Tuesday.
The committee is headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and comprises members of political parties, armed forces and intelligence agencies.
In an anti-terrorism meeting held Tuesday, Prime Minister Sharif pointed out that extraordinary times called for extraordinary measures.
Sharif asserted that citizens from all ethnicities and religious beliefs would be protected.
He assured that atrocities committed by terrorists would not be forgotten or forgiven.
