Mangalore: Dec 7: Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday December 6 visited the families who were affected by the violence which took place in Mulki last week.

 

He visited the family members at Shetty’s residence in Manampady near Mulki. Speaking to media persons, Yediyurappa said that a retired judge will be appointed to study the situation and place a report. This move, he said, would be discussed with the Chief Minister.

 

The Deputy Chief Minister hinted at inefficiency of the police when he said that the police, if taken stern action against those who attached Shetty month ago, the murder would not have taken place.

He also visited the family members of Dinesh Amin and Premnath Kotian, who were killed in police firing and assured them a sum of Rs 1 lac from his party.

In-charge minister for the district B Nagaraj Shetty, MLAs J Krishna Palemar and Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat were present on the occasion.
