Udupi, Dec 7: The diamond jubilee celebrations of Milagres High School at Kallianpur near here will begin on Friday December 8 morning.

Kallianpur GP president Baby will inaugurate the jubilee celebrations by hoisting the flag at 9.30 am.  ZP member Janardhan Tonse will be the chief guest for the inaugural function.

The newly-constructed Diamond Jubilee building of the school will be inaugurated in the evening by Brahmavar MLA K Jayaprakash Hegde.  The formal programme will be held at 5 in the evening which will be presided over by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore who is also the president of Catholic Board of Education.

Brahmavar MLA K Jayaprakash Hegde, ZP president B N Shankar Poojary, former police commissioner of Mumbai Ronald H Mendonca, T S Budan Basha, Udupi district Wakf Board and Brahmavar Block Education Officer (BEO) S Vasanth Shetty will be the chief guest.

The Old Students' Day of the school will be held on Saturday December 9 evening.  District-in-charge minister and state medical education minister Dr V S Acharya will be presiding over the function.  Fr William Gonsalves, spiritual director of Jeppu Seminary, noted writer and theatre personality Udyavar Madhav Acharya, Fr Marcel Saldanha, correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions and Paul R Lobo, headmaster of the school will be the chief guests.
