Mumbai, Dec 24 (Agencies) : Budget carrier AirAsia India has announced a promotional offer under which it is selling tickets as low as Rs 1,390 (all-inclusive).

The booking period for this AirAsia offer is open till January 4. This AirAsia offer is applicable for travel period between 5 January 2015 and 31 March 2015.

This AirAsia offer comes in the wake Wadia Group-promoted budget carrier GoAir putting up 1.7 million seats for sale, offering fares as low as Rs 1,469 for travel next year.

The special GoAir offer is available for travel period between January 1 and March 31. The bookings for tickets under the GoAir offer can be made till December 25.

"The January-March quarter is traditionally a lean quarter... The purpose of introducing these fares is to make air travel affordable during the period," GoAir chief executive Giorgio De Roni said.

Promotional offers from different airlines have helped passenger traffic growth this year. During January to November this year, passenger traffic growth was more than 9 per cent.
