Mangalore, Dec 7: The First Indian Corporation, subsidiary of The First American Corporation will set up its new corporation branch at MG Road, Kodialbail here shortly, informed Anoop Hegde, the country manager of The First Indian Corporation Pvt Ltd.

Speaking to the media persons in an interaction session organized by the Kanara Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here at KCCI Meeting hall on Thursday December 7 he said the office will commence its functioning from the February 1, 2007.

The company’s area of service includes title insurance, property tax, flood certification, default management service credit and property information. In the initial stage operations from city will support transaction processing services for the US mortgage industry, he said.

 In a query why the city is selected to expand its business operations, he said that high literacy rate, availability of large resource pool, committed and hard working work force, proactive nature of people and good transportation facilities were the main reason behind the selection of the city as the third city of its operation apart from Bangalore and Hyderabad. 

While establishing First Indian Corporation office here in the city he said it will provide job opportunities to young graduates and recruit people from here. He also said in the long run it would like to work closely with the academic institutions to pool the talent.

When asked about the future plan he said the company is planning to open up market for American products in Indian Market.

Capt John Prasad Menezes, president of KCCI, Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, vice-president, Srinivas S Kamath, secretary and N Shekara Pujari, honorary secretary were also present in the meeting.
