Six cubs born in Bihar tiger reserve

Patna, Dec 24 (IANS): Six tiger cubs have been born at the Valmiki Tiger Reserve in Bihar, an official said Tuesday.

"A tigress gave birth to the cubs in the Madanpur forest range," forest official Nand Kishore told IANS over telephone. "All the cubs are healthy and doing well."

He said the grasslands in West Champaran district, nearly 200 km from Patna, had been attracting big cats for years. The reserve is home to 22 tigers.
