Former Himachal governor Gandhi dead

Shimla, Dec 24 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Governor Urmila Singh Wednesday expressed grief over the death of the state's former governor R.K.S. Gandhi.

Gandhi died at the age of 90 in Mumbai Tuesday night. He served as the governor of Himachal Pradesh from April 1986 to February 1990.

The chief minister said Gandhi was a true gentleman, an efficient administrator and a great soldier.
