Kundapur, Dec 8: Bangalore's International Integrity and Friendship Society has honoured Fr Antony Lobo, vicar forane of Kundapur and administrator of St Mary's Educational Society, with the prestigious 'Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Gold Award'.
Fr Antony, as a lover of society education, has actively involved in social work. He has organized many programmes in Manglaore, Shirtady, Loretto-Bantwal and Kundapur through which he has become popular among people. He has been recognized for his well-scheduled programmes towards communal harmony.
He has obtained a Master's degree in Theology and Religious Study.
He received the award from former state minister and woman Congress leader Rani Satish on the occasion of the late prime minister Indira Gandhi's birth anniversary at a function held in the Jnana Bharati Auditorium.
