Swine flu claims woman's life in Delhi


New Delhi, Dec 26 (IANS): A 51-year-old woman succumbed to swine flu in the national capital, hospital sources said Friday.

The woman passed away two days ago at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, the sources told IANS.

She was shifted to the Delhi hospital Dec 21 after being diagnosed with the deadly virus in a Ghaziabad hospital in Uttar Pradesh.

"The patient at the time of admission was in a critical state. She had lung failure and was on a high frequency ventilator support," said a statement from the hospital.
