SI dances with bar girl, police department initiates action

Ahmedabad, Dec 26 (PTI): A sub-inspector of Surat police has been caught dancing with a bar girl while being on duty during an event, prompting the department to initiate action against him after a video of his act went viral today.

"We have initiated inquiry against Police Sub-Inspector D C Solanki after we saw his video where he was seen dancing with a bar-girl in Dindoli area in Surat city, even when he was on duty," Police Inspector J M Baloch of Dindoli Police station said.

He had gone for 'Vishwakarma poojan' on September 19, where he started dancing with a bar-girl.

Today, videos of his dancing with bar girl went viral on 'Whatsapp' and then we initiated a departmental inquiry against him, Baloch added.

The Surat police today submitted the preliminary report to the city Police Commissioner, who will decide the further course of action, he said.

Surat city police commissioner Rakesh Asthana could not be contacted for his comment on the incident.

    Poor man - after all he is a human beings possessing all biological traits and basic instincts like any other member of the homo spiens specie. When some humans can see porn films inside legislative assemblies or even rape his fellow MLA's wife....if he ( this sub-inspector) visits a dancing hall (perhaps in the course of his duty following activities of some suspect criminal) or to inspect some drug related activity inside the premises, and in the process gets himself infatuated with the dancing girl ...we have to sympathise with him...after all..to err is human.....

    To my knowledge alchohol is 100% banned in Gujarat, is Surat part of Gujarat or not.

    DW has given mis leading headline...This is not a 'Bar' dancer as there are no legal bars in Surat or bar dancers

    she is just a 'filmi' type dancer...secondly its a family function where even children are seen dancing...

    But yes, there should be action on the cop as he is seen throwing money!! Thats a no no as per law.
    Furthermore there is no liquor seen or being distributed or consumed in the video
