Mangalore, Dec 9: The incident of the death of a student at a girl’s hostel here, evoked criticism from A C Jayaraj, president, state Malayalee Christian Association while addressing press persons here on Friday December 8.
He alleged that Beena, the deceased girl, was not giving necessary attention when she was afflicted with malaria which resulted in her death. Even her parents were not informed of her demise and this showed that the hostel authorities did not take proper care of her, he added.
He demanded the suspension of the hostel warden and threatened to move court if the authorities failed to deliver justice.
Beena’s father M A Paulose was present at the meet.
