Bellevision

Muscat, Dec 9:  Bellevision- Muscat members and their families held their Annual family gathering on 29 November 2006 which was attended by about 55 people including children. The picninc was held at a private farm in Barka from 10.30am. The president, Lawrence Alva welcomed the gathering and the day was set off with a delicious breakfast with soft idlies and tasty chutni.

All those gathered were divided into four groups which were named after the theme on which they were grouped, namely; Moodubelle, The Church, Old testament and the new testament. The groups played an assortment of fun-filled games throughout the day. Games like ‘Untangling the human chain’ and ‘Piggyback blind race’ were very exiting. Groups were allocated points and prizes were distributed at the end of the day. In between the games barbequed chicken was served by Paul Lobo. At 2.00P.M a sumptuous Mangalorean lunch was served. Every platter was filled with traditional and authentic Mangalorean Cuisine. The appetizing dishes included ‘Channa Sukkha’, Chicken sukka masala, ‘Mota rice, pickle, and dal.

After the groups restored their energy with a wonderful lunch, more games were played. Time-Out was called for Tea. A few were lucky to be served with ‘Pukkabachi Cha’ specially made by Jillu.

The group events of the day were aptly organized by Lawrence Alva, while games for children were conducted by Philomena Mendoca. During breaks John Lobo and his team entertained people with Konkani, Hindi and English songs while Eddu’s group kept the momentum going with jokes and plays. The entire event was whole heartedly supported by managing committee. President thanked the participants and all those who contributed to this event The wonderfully organized fun-filled event came to an end at 5:30 pm.

On the way back home, only one thought ran through everyone’s mind: ‘All work and No play, makes Jack a dull boy.’ Hence, we look forward to enjoying more and more such events organized by us in the near future.
