Mumbai, Dec 10: Gaurav Shetty, South Kanara's pride, and the hero of Indias gold Medal winning Kabaddi team player has received a warm welcome at Mumbai international airport on his return from a successful performance at the Doha Asiad.
Gaurav arrived here late in the evening along with another Mumbai player Punkaj Shirshad.
Gaurav's parents father Jaya Shetty (Former national Kabaddi player) and mother Chhaya Shetty welcomed their son with a garland and sweets.
Air India official Arun Sawant, Banks' association coach Pramod Salunke, Shantha G Shetty and others were present at the airpor.
India beat Pakistan 31-20 points to clinch the gold medal at the Doha Asiad. This was the fifth consecutive gold for India in Asiad.
