CRPF chief to also head ITBP from Jan 1


New Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS): The central government Tuesday gave CRPF Director General Prakash Mishra the additional charge of the post of director general, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) with effect from Jan 1, an official statement said.

"Prakash Mishra, IPS, director general, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), will hold the additional charge of the post of DG, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) w.e.f. 01.01.2015," the statement said.

This has been done in view of the retirement on superannuation of Subhas Goswami, IPS, DG, ITBP Dec 31, it added.
