Three more swine flu cases in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS): Three fresh cases of swine flu were Tuesday reported in the capital, taking the number this year to 35, health officials said.

Two women, both aged 33, and a five-year-old boy were the three afflicted, a Delhi government health department official told IANS.

He said nine cases of swine flu have been reported in Delhi this month, including these three new cases.

According to the health department, 35 swine flu cases were reported in Delhi since Jan 1, 2014 till date.

The official, however, refused to say in which hospital the three people were admitted.

In another similar case, a 32-year-old woman from Ghaziabad was admitted to the RML Hospital after she was suspected to be infected with the swine flu virus.

Blood samples of the woman have been sent to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for confirmation, an official said.
