Rainy Friday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS): It was a rainy morning here Friday. The Met office has forecast a cloudy day with the possibility of more rainfall.

Over 45 trains were delayed due to the moderate overnight fog.

According to the Northern Railway, 41 trains coming to the capital were running late due to the fog, seven were rescheduled and four were cancelled.

The visibility in the morning was 600 metres.

The day's minimum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 10.2 degrees Celsius.

"There was moderate fog in the morning, and the day would be partly cloudy. Very light rain or thundershower could occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The city has received received 5.4 mm rainfall since Thursday.

The day's maximum temperature would be around 19 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 98 percent.

Monday's maximum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius, a level above the season's average, while the minimum was two levels above the season's average at 8.8 degrees Celsius.
