Mangalore, Dec 12: A two-day-long district-level children's fest Makkkala Masotsava came to an end with the demonstration of street plays which depicted the rights of the children by  various non- government organizations at Town Hall premises here on Tuesday evening on December 12.

District in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty inaugurated the valedictory ceremony. On the occasion a memorandum seeking various child rights was submitted to the minister by the district makkala mahotsava committee.

Speaking on the occasion Valored director Renny D'Souza said rights of the children must be protected through the strict implementation of the law.

MLA Yogish Bhat presided over the function.

ZP President Mamatha D S Gatti, student representative Roopa, Gertrude Veigas, deputy director of Women and Child Welfare department and Renny D'Souza director of Valored were present.
