Ashok Leyland sales grew 48 percent in December


Chennai, Jan 3 (IANS): City-based commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland logged a 48 percent growth in sales volume last month as compared with December 2013, the company said Saturday.

In a statement issued here, Ashok Leyland said it sold 9,290 units last month up from 6,275 units sold in Dec 2013.

Last month, the company sold 7,210 units of medium and heavy commercial vehicles up from 3,890 units sold in December 2013 while its light commercial vehicle sales went down to 2,080 units from 2,385 units.
