Six electrocuted in Jhansi


Lucknow, Jan 3 (IANS): Six people were electrocuted while six others sustained serious burn injuries Saturday in Jhansi on coming into contact with a high tension electricity wire, police said.

Three of the six injured people were in a critical condition at a medical facility following the incident which occurred at a construction site in Marodi village.

The shocking incident took place as some people were climbing to the roof with the help of an iron pipe. But the pipe came into contact with a high tension electricity wire. Six people died on the spot while six others suffered serious burn injuries, a police official told IANS.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
