Mangalore, Dec 14: A trivial fight that broke up between a few people spread its wings to two separated factions and resulted in damage to a bar, an STD booth and a boat in Good-Shed and Old Bunder area here on Wednesday December 13 night.

The fight broke up between a few persons of Tamil Nadu origin who had come to have alcohol in Friends Bar near wharf.  Realizing the gravity of the fight, the bar staff asked them to go away from the bar premises.  At this, the men from Tamil Nadu attacked the bar and pelted stones at the bar.  Enraged by this, some locals got hold of the trouble-makers and thrashed them.

Bottles were thrown and stones pelted at each other which resulted in damage to an STD booth located close to the bar.  Even a fishing vessel was damaged.  People were soon seen fighting with shovels, wooden clubs etc.  Finally the Tamilians fled the place on a boat.

Meanwhile a man travelling a scooter was attacked near South Wharf by a group.  He sustained injuries in the attack and had to be admitted to a hospital for treatment.
