Mangalore, Dec 14: Mangalore Electric Supply Company (MESCOM) will organize a two-day state-level inter-ESCOMS athletics sports meet for men and women at Mangala Stadium on December 15, informed MESCOM sports committee president M Narayan.

Speaking at meet the press programme here in the city on Wednesday December 13 he said that there are 15 different events for men and three for women. 

Former vice-chancellor of MAHE Dr B M Hegde will inaugurate the two-day sports meet. MESCOM managing director S Sumanth will be the chief guest.  Sports Committee president M Narayana will preside over the function.

MESCOM director (technical) S Sridhar, financial adviser B M Chandrasekhar, KPTCL superintendent engineer Adishesha, KPTCL worker’s association vice-president K Shasheendra, KPTCL sports officer G S Anandakrishna will be the special invitees on the occasion.

ESCOMS from Bangalore, Hubli, Mysore, Gulbarga, Mangalore and KPTCL will take part in the two day meet he added.

Executive engineer Venugopal Shetty, assistant executive engineer Manjappa, sports committee convener Umanath Padil and Puttur division assistant executive engineer Gangadghara Pai were present at the meet.
