Mangalore, Dec 15: Sri Ram Sene activists assaulted 3 Muslim boys for having gone to ice cream parlour with girls on Wednesday December 13 evening. The police have now arrested five Sri Ram Sene activists in this regard.
Sahul, a resident of Beebi Alabi Road, Misba and Naveed had gone to Ideal ice cream parlour along with two girls who too are studying with them. After having ice cream all of them came out together. Immediately, a few persons surrounded them and forced the three boys into an autorickshaw.
Later they took the boys to Attavar and assaulted them. The boys sustained injuries and were admitted to a private hospital.
As per the complaint filed by the boys, the Bunder police arrested Ashok Kumar, a resident of Bondel, Arun, Yogish, Mahesh and Sukhesh, residents of Farangipet. The police have also seized a mobike from them. The arrested were later produced before the court. They have now been granted bail by the court.
The police have also registered a case against Prasad Attavar, state-level co-convener of Sri Ram Sene for instigating the assault.
