Afghan rocket attack kills three civilians


Kabul, Jan 6 (IANS): Three civilians were killed and two injured after Taliban militants fired a rocket in Afghanistan's Helmand province, a police officer said Tuesday.

"A rocket fired by the Taliban insurgents struck a house in Shaiekhzai village of Naw Zad district midnight," the officer told Xinhua.

The victims included a woman, the officer added.
