Udupi, Dec 15: The department of Orthopaedics, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, will organize ‘CME Ortho 2006’ from Friday December 15 to Sunday December 17, according to a press release.
Dr H S Ballal, pro chancellor, MAHE, will be the chief guest of the function. Dr R S P Rao, dean, KMC, Manipal and Dr D P Saraswat, medical superintendent and COO, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal will be the guests of honour, the release stated.
The continuing medical education (CME) programme in Orthopaedics has been organised for the benefit of the post graduate students and junior Orthopaedic consultants. The academic programs will include lectures, workshops, operative procedures demonstration, ward rounds and demonstrations, stretched over a three-day period. Discussions of cases will be led by specialist Orthopaedic surgeons with a vast experience in teaching.
Participants, mainly postgraduate students, from all over the country will be taught by eminent faculty comprising of Dr Varghese Chacko former professor and head of the department of Orthopaedics, KMC, Manipal, Dr Shantharam Shetty, dean, KSHEMA, Dr Sudhakar Shetty, dean, Yenopoya Medical College and others.
