Mangalore, Dec 16: Adith Jagadish of Lourdes Central School and Ankita R of Sharada Vidyalaya here have been selected to participate in the Asian School Chess Festival 2006 to be held in Singapore from Sunday December 17 to Sunday December 24.
A press release from Derik’s Chess School here stated that the competition has been organised by Singapore Chess Federation on behalf of Asian School Chess Federation.
Adith will contest in the under 13 category while Ankita will participate in the under-7 girls category. Adith is likely to start as top seed in his category, the release stated.
India, Singapore, Qatar, Korea, China and other South Asian countries will participate in the competition.
