Four Pakistani security personnel killed


Islamabad, Jan 8 (IANS): At least four security personnel were killed and three others injured Thursday in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan.

The incident occurred in Lower Kurram Agency's Shabak area near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Dawn online reported.

The personnel were transporting water and rations for troops stationed at the border when the vehicle they were travelling in was targeted in the blast.

The victims comprised one personnel of the Balochistan Levies paramilitary force and three army soldiers.
