Eight killed in Pakistan firing


Islamabad, Jan 10 (IANS): Five policemen and three robbers were killed Saturday during an exchange of fire in Pakistan's Sindh province.

The incident took place in Ali Talpur town of Mirpur Khas district, Dawn online reported.

According to officials, police initiated a crackdown and raided a house.

The occupants of the house opened fire on the raiding team, comprising policemen and commandos.

Eight policemen were also injured in the clash.
