Prices have come down under Modi government: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS): Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power, prices of essential commodities have come down, resulting in the saving of Rs.1,500-4,500 per month in household expenditure, BJP president Amit Shah said Saturday.

Addressing a Bharatiya Janata Party rally at Delhi's historic Ramlila Maidan in the run-up to the assembly elections, Shah said prices had skyrocketed during the 10-year rule of the Congress-led regime.

He said prices of petrol, which increased unabated during the UPA rule, have been reduced a number of times during the seven months of the Modi government.

Shah said the BJP always stands by the promises it makes to the people and implements them.

"We are working on the promises that were made to the people. Some of them have been implemented. In case of some, there are in the process of being carried out, and for others, a roadmap has been drawn for their implementation," he added.

Prices of essential commodities such as milk and food prices not come down.Due to very low International crude prices the Modi Govt. reduced the prices of Diesel and Petrol but not substantially. The FMG companies should reduce the prices of groceries. The poor people are not benifited since transport prices such as Bus fare and Train fare not decreased. Only Airfare reduced not helping the lower middle class and poor people. The people voted Modi govt due high inflation. Nothing changed .
