Mangalore, Dec 19: State Samajwadi Party will organise a public gathering along with a procession as part of an awareness programme on Friday December 22 at Nehru Maidan at 5.30 pm.
Samajwadi Party district general secretary S P Changappa speaking at A press conference here on Tuesday December 19 said that Samajwadi Party state president Bangarappa and other members of the party will meet at the Kankanady Maidan here and will participate in a procession in an open vehicle.
The procession will pass by Kankanady, Bendoorwell, Balmatta, Jyothi circle, Hampankatta and reach Nehru maidan through A B Shetty circle.
Chahngappa added that many state leaders like D R Raju, Rukmayya Poojary, H Raju, Madhu Bangarappa will participate in the programme.
The gathering will be on account of creating awareness among the people about the state and central governments which have failed in thier policies and about issues like Mangalore-Hassan railway work, Shiradi Ghati road repair, vented dam etc.
Samajwadi Party state president M Mohan, Party state secretary H Raju, Party district vice president Abubakkar Lucky Star, president of district minority cell Moiddin Monu were present at the press conference.
