Mangalore Dec 20: A two-day international symposium on Sustainable Fisheries Development for Food and Health Security was inaugurated at Fisheries College here on Wednesday December 20 morning. The symposium has been organized by Fisheries College in association with the Alumni Association.
The symposium was inaugurated by Dr R N Srinivas Gowda, vice-chancellor of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University ((KVASFU).
Mangalore University vice-chancellor Dr K M Kaveriappa was the chief guest, Mohan Joseph M, director of Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi was the guest of honour while College of Fisheries dean Dr P Keshavanath presided over the function.
Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Deemed University Mumbai Dr Dilip Kumar delivered the key note address.
