Mangalore, Dec 20: A day-long meet of 'Vermiculturists' was inaugurated at Eric Mathias Hall in St Aloysius College campuses on Wednesday December 20 morning. The activities of Vermitechnology Association of the college too were flagged off on the same occasion. The meet has been organized by the Vermitechnology Association of St Aloysius College.
The meet was inaugurated by M Premnath Alva, vice-president of Vijaya Rural Development Foundation by lighting the traditional lamp. K H Hegde, regional manager of Vijaya Bank was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Radha Kale of department of Zoology, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore delivered a lecture on "Vermitechnology for the Masses."
Fr Eugene Lobo, principal of the college welcomed the gathering. Fr Leo D'Souza, director of laboratory of Applied Biology, Dr S Hareesh Joshy and secretary Megha Rao were also present on the dais.
