Puttur, Dec 20: D V Sadananda Gowda who was unanimously selected as president of state BJP for the second consecutive time visited Uppinangady on Wednesday December 20 morning. He was accompanied by MLA Shakuntala Shetty.
Local BJP unit organized a special motorcade in order to felicitate D V Sadananda Gowda on being elected as president of state BJP for the second time in a row.
Later he inaugurated the university-level weightlifting and body building championship at Government First Grade College at Uppinangady.
MLA Shakuntala Shetty, college principal Prof Vasantha Kumari, Corporation bank Uppinangady manager Ramachandra Bhat and ZP member Shayana Jayananda were also present on the dais.
The championship will he held for two days and various teams at the university level are participating in the championship.
